Veterans Service Representative (VSR)
The VSR explains benefit programs and entitlement criteria, conducts interviews, identifies issues, gathers relevant evidence, adjudicates claims, and inputs data necessary to generate the award and notification letter to the veteran describing the decision and the reason for it.
Rating Veterans Service Rep. (RVSR)
The RVSR works in the Veterans Service Center (VSC), Special Missions or Pension Management Center. The RVSR analyzes claims, applies VA's Schedule for Rating Disabilities (Rating Schedule), and prepares rating decisions informing the Veteran Service Representative (VSR) and claimant of the decision and reasons and bases for it.
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC)
The VRC provides and coordinates a wide range of rehabilitation counseling and case management services to disabled Veterans and other eligible individuals. The primary emphasis of the Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation Program is on achieving an employment outcome for the Veteran.
Legal Administrative Specialist
The Legal Admin Specialist has telephone contact with the public to advise and provide information on Veterans' benefits and rights. This is a call center position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You will have a telephone and computer equipment to handle inbound calls on a daily basis. It requires talking for long periods of time on the phone; extensive use of a computer and telephone with headset are required.
Legal Instrument Examiner
This position is located in a Fiduciary Hub at the VBA Regional Office. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the management of financial affairs of incompetent beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The incumbent will check the adequacy and propriety of surety bonds.
Field Examiner
This Field Examiner position is for the Veterans Benefits Administration in the Fiduciary Hub. The incumbent determines the payee (fiduciary) best suited to the needs and situations of VA beneficiaries who are incompetent due to legal disability, mental disability, or physical disability. The field examiner ensures that incompetent beneficiaries receive all the benefits they are entitled to, and takes necessary actions to protect their assets.
Military Service Coordinator
This position serves as a Military Service Coordinator on the Public Contact Team. The service coordinator can be assigned at any military bases in the US or abroad. Through seasoned knowledge the military service coordinator provides specific information and comprehensive assistance to veterans, their dependents and beneficiaries concerning any matter within the scope of VA benefits and related non-VA benefits, to include those cases in which issues require an advanced technical proficiency.
Support Service Specialist
This position is in the Support Services Division of VBA regional Offices. The support service specialist performs facilities management, property management, government vehicle management, serves as the alternate Personal Identity Verification coordinator and other administrative operations, under the supervision of the Supervisory Support Services Specialist.
Financial Accounts Technician
The Financial Accounts Technician performs a variety of financial duties to service vendors, providers, contractors, Veterans, employees, and others whose banking information, payroll transactions, temporary duty travel, permanent change of station travel might be required for payment or access. They may also perform accounting, civilian payroll, and accounts receivable functions in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Budget Analyst
Budget Analysts develop and prepare discretionary budget estimates, justifications, plans, caseload and cost estimates, prepare budget submissions covering a complete budgetary cycle, Monitor the implementation of authorized budget levels, and recommend the reprogramming of funds as a result of Office of Management and Budget mark-ups and/or funding changes.
